FAQ

What is CBD?

CBD is short for Cannabidiol, the most prominent active component in the Hemp plant.

Hemp also has many other cannabinoids that work synergistically with the CBD to bring exponentially more effective medicine when used in a whole plant form. CBD has a long list of health benefits, treats many symptoms, and is a great preventative medicine.

It is non-psychoactive, and can actually counteract the “high” of THC rich Cannabis. Unlike pharmaceuticals, CBD is safe at high doses for treating extreme conditions.

Hemp is not the only source of cannabinoids found in nature. Other common sources include cacao, which most people know as chocolate, and Echinacea.

What is Hemp?

Hemp, also called industrial hemp, refers to the non-psychoactive varieties of Cannabis sativa L. containing less than 0.30% THC.

Hemp is marijuana’s sister. They look similar, but they have totally different personalities, genetic makeup, and cultivation methods. Technically, they are both the same species Cannabis Sativa L., but Hemp does not get you “high” like Recreational or Medical Cannabis does.

Hemp is known for her seeds and fiber, which are used in thousands of different ways and products.. These include paper products, food, oil, biofuel, plastic composites, canvas, clothing and textiles, shoes, bags, rope, cars, building materials, and many others.

Hemp is also incredible for the earth because it prevents soil erosion, cleans the soil, and breathes in Co2 and breathes out oxygen. There are certain phenotypes of hemp that grow larger flowers, which contain a high CBD content, and are great for health foods, medicinal supplements, body care, extracts, and for smoking.

The Hemp varieties we grow and sell are this type, with a large percentage of CBD.
